This will be interesting... Ian will be on BBC Radio 4 this Saturday at 2.30pm. Well kind of. Gareth Pierce will be playing Ian Ogilvy in Vincent Price and The Horror of The English Blood Beast a " light-hearted look behind the scenes" at the making of Witchfinder General. More info on it here.

Sadly the BBC are reporting the death of actor Lionel Jeffries, Ian's co-star in the sit-com Tom, Dick and Harriet. Ian remembers "A lovely man, with a wacky sense of humour. We had a great time on the series, until we both nearly drowned - and then, understandably, Lionel rather lost interest in doing it any more. He once found, at the studios, a mannequin model, the kind you see in shop windows. He brought it to my dressing room, persuaded me to take off most of my clothes and lie down on top of it, with the idea that I was to be 'discovered'  by him and an innocent Bridget Forsythe when they walk into my room ... the poor girl was so embarrassed ... "

July 2009
Earlier this year Ian recorded an episode of ITV's Marple starring Julia McKenzie as the eponymous detective. For reasons best known to themselves ITV won't be showing Ian's episode--'They Do It With Mirrors'--until Autumn 09 however American viewers will get to see it on July 19th. It's airing as part of Masterpiece Theater on PBS but don't worry if you miss it, for you can watch it online here from July 20th to August 2nd. At the time of writing we don't know if it'll be available outside the USA though since the interview with Julia McKenzie on the same site is available to all, it looks hopeful...

My Life In Ruins, in which Ian stars as Mr Tullen and which so far does not seem to have secured a UK release date, was released in Australia and New Zealand on July 16th. France, Brazil, Argentina and Germany get to see it later this year
